Why Fall Is My "Spring Cleaning" | A Season of New Beginnings
Share
I've been out of school for many years now, but something about back-to-school season still gets me every fall. Maybe it's the memory of fresh notebooks, sharpened pencils, and that familiar feeling of possibility in the air. That crisp breeze always seems to bring a little clarity with it.
As the temperatures dip, I find myself sorting through closets, tucking away summer pieces and pulling out the cozier, cool weather 'fits. I donate what no longer feels like "me", make space for new favorites, and wait for that first truly chilly night to unfold my grandmother's wool blanket. It's a ritual that feels both grounding and renewing, a little like hitting the reset button.
Reflecting and Resetting
October marks the start of the last quarter of the year, only three months left in 2025! How?? It's the perfect moment to pause and take stock. Have I met the goals I set back in January? What progress am I proud of? What do I want to nurture of refocus on as the year winds down? How can I set myself up for a great start to 2026?
These quiet check-ins aren't about perfection or pressure, they're about getting intentional, reconnecting with what matters to me, and giving myself permission to realign.
Cozy Intentions
Slowing down is key for me this time of year. I light a seasonal candle, grab my journal, and just start to write; reflections, gratitude, and dreams for what's next. I've been having so much fun creating new designs lately and finding joy in the simple moments; a warm beverage, a favorite sweater, a quiet evening creating, or planning for a cozy, magical holiday season.
*More joy. *Less hustle.
That's my mantra for this fall.
From My Table to Yours
In that spirit, I've added a few new things to the shop; candles, journals, and stickers, all designed to encourage rest, reflection, and purpose-filled creativity this season. They're small reminders to slow down and savor the shift.
Thank you for being on this journey with me. Here's to embracing change, finding calm, and creating a fall that feels just right.
